Rerack Privacy Policy
Effective November 2, 2026
Rerack is a workout log. It keeps what you enter so you can see it again, on your devices. It has no ads, does not sell or share your data for advertising, and does not track you across other apps or websites.
What Rerack stores
- Your account. If you sign in with Apple or Google, your name, email address, profile photo link and a user ID come from that sign-in, through Google Firebase Authentication. With Sign in with Apple you can choose to hide your email address.
- What you log. Exercises, workouts, routines, the sets, reps and weights you log, notes, and your settings.
- Your profile, if you fill it in. A name, a photo, your height and your body weight over time. All optional.
If you're signed in, this is stored in Google Cloud Firestore (part of Firebase) under your account, so it syncs between your devices, and a copy is kept on your device so the app works offline. If you use Rerack without an account, it stays on your device only.
Apple Health
If you turn on "Save to Apple Health" in the iPhone app, a finished workout is saved to Health as strength training with its time and duration. Rerack does not read anything from Health. Nothing from Health is stored by Rerack, used for advertising, or shared with anyone.
Crash reports
The iPhone app sends a report to Firebase Crashlytics when it crashes: what went wrong in the code, the device model, iOS version, app version and a random install ID. Reports don't include what you've logged. They're used only to fix bugs.
Notifications
Rest timer alerts, workout reminders and "workout left open" alerts are scheduled on your iPhone itself, only for the kinds you allow. No notification service receives your data.
Other services the app loads from
Exercise pictures and instructions are loaded from jsDelivr and ExerciseDB, and the typeface from Google Fonts. Like any website, they receive your device's IP address when they're loaded, but nothing you've logged.
Share links
When you share a workout or routine, its plan (exercise names, sets, reps and notes, but none of your history) is written into the link itself. It isn't uploaded anywhere; whoever you send the link to can read it.
Deleting your data
- Signed in: Settings → Delete account deletes your account and everything stored with it, straight away. If you used Sign in with Apple, Rerack's access to your Apple ID is revoked too.
- Anything you've logged can also be deleted one item at a time in the app.
- Without an account: deleting the app (or clearing the website's data) deletes everything.
You can also email me to have your data deleted, or to get a copy of it (Settings → Export backup does this too).
Children
Rerack isn't meant for children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
